I love little edelweiss flowers! I think they are adorable and just damn cute. So, when I wear my original German edelweiss jewelry, I get a little bounce in my step. Everything I used to make this look is true vintage - from the dress, the hat, and the jewelry. The dress and hat are not German by origin, but the jewelry is. The 1940s and 1930 saw a lot of shirtwaist dresses that varied immensely with little details. Some had unique collars, others unique sleeves and trimming to accent the personality of the wearer. I highly recommend studying originals to know what styles and what details are correct and which are not quite right.
